Smiles That Turned Cold
Late one night it was Zac and I, we were playing beats had the volume up high, We were having such a good time with nothing but smiles but it was quick to end when there was was a knock, on the front door open it up to dad and Lukes then straight away I knew the words they were going to say tears running down there face, then dad said that I'm sorry but your mum has passed away, I can't think of any words to say, I'm not able to think straight pinching myself just wishing I would wake, I will never be able to accept that mum grew her wings and flew away, mum I'm just glad that you aren't struggling through none of that pain and how your body ached, you never deserved the shit you went through on the day to day but who am I going to have, guide me through all of the mistakes I'm going to make in my life, I didn't even get to tell you all the words I wanted to say and I hate it, everyday I'm going to try and pray, Everything seems just so out of place, having my mother taken away, has filled me with all this hate and pain, that I'll never see my mum again since heaven took you away, our home has had so much space it seems like everything has been misplaced, I hate that you flew away, you didn't even get to see me sober just always off my face, drugs I just continued to take, even though the stakes for you to die were high, but still i continued to smoke the pipe, to you I always lied, I'm sorry you only got to see me fried, but I promise you mumma I'm going to change my life, I just wish I could see your smile just one more time, please everyone take pride in your life, it's just the devil in disguise, one wrong step and you could die, this isn't a lie, my mum got cancer inside, She was told 18 months but within a year she was gone, she grew her wings and flew up into the sky, it makes me break down and cry everytime the stars come out at night, When I am outside, Looking for a sign that she is alright, When I think of the memories I hold in my mind, cherish the time you have left because in a blink of an eye, a loved one can die, that is something you will regret that for the rest of your life, saying why wasn't I their by their side, so please be there for them now and you will thank me in the end, I love you mum i can't wait to see you again but until then, I fucking love and miss you man, you were my mum and my bestfriend , always there to hold my hand, when I needed it, but when the time came and you needed me the most, I wasn't there and that is my biggest regret, Now all I can do is this, So I will blow you a kiss my beautiful angel you will be missed by the family and kids, eyes closed, off your soul goes, you have spread your wings and goodbye mum off into the sky go, You are such a beautiful sight the sweetest type it was at 9:30 at night that you closed your eyes nighty night, until the next time we collide, goodnight. All this pain and the misery, its forcing me down to my knees, losing my mother, one of the best human beings this world has ever seen, its hard to believe that she was really taken from me, i sit here wishing that she got just one more week to breathe but the machine started to beep, something i was too scared to see, was mum struggling to breathe, she tried to be strong for the kids but through her eyes we could see, the fear inside but mum it's alright because you have the strongest family by your side, holding each other tight, wiping the tears from our eyes, you made the type throughout life that doesnt give up on life they continue to fight Fly high, this isn't goodbye, We will see each other again, it's only a matter of time before i get to look you in your eyes, we are trying so hard not to cry, i have only a couple of times, i know you got tired let go and flew up into the sky i just don't think its fair, why your life, why did you have to die this isn't right, out of 7 billion lives you made me watch my mother die slowly right in front of of eyes. i love you mum fly high my beautiful angel, from all of us kids we love and miss you.
