My work explores the relationship between the insignificant black experience and the true-unveiling luxuries of an American as performance. With influences as diverse as Lauren Hill and Andre 3000, new variations of my own art are manufactured from both traditional and modern eras of music. Music was introduced to me at an early age, i can vividly remember me singing the tunes on the radio in the backseat to jagged edge, Mr Pookie & other various artists alike. I did not know what music was or what they were even talking about i just knew i could sing, rap and stay on beat and nobody could tell me otherwise. Being introduced to R&B first, what truly sparked my passion to attempt writing music was Eazy-E. I was given a caset tape and a jam box not knowing that the caset tape i then possesed would be the beginning of a inspiring but rugged journey.
