I was raised in a world of drugs, money, addiction, and chaos. As a teenager, I made choices that landed me in the Indiana Department of Correction after being waived into adult court as a juvenile. Prison changed me. I had no visits, no commissary, and nobody to write to. So I started writing my thoughts on paper. Nobody ever heard those lyrics—they were my escape and my therapy long before I ever recorded a song. During the last six months of my sentence, I lost my father in 2019. From that moment on, I promised myself my past wouldn’t define my future. Since my release, I’ve done a complete 180. I work hard, stay out of trouble, and dedicate everything I do to my children—Nevaeh, Naomi, Nolyn, and my son Noah on the way. My music is raw because it’s real. I’m not here to glorify the life I lived. I’m here to prove that no matter where you come from, you can change where you’re going. EBE
