When you look back and think about who the greatest rappers have been you don't think about gimmicks or beats, you think about lyrics, the things they said, and the stories they told. The most important part of rap is the lyrics, but in recent years rap has gotten away from that fact, and today a fire beat and catchy hook is all you need to make it...... That's some bullshit!! Today's rap, for the most part, is watered down crap that ain't talking about shit. This is why I started rapping, to bring back the most important aspect of rap......the lyrics. I'm a 45 yr old Grandfather who started rapping about 2 yrs ago, but I guarantee that I'm better than most of these rappers today because I'm a lyricist.
