CoCoJ Jackson is a passionate Hip Hop/Rap artist representing Kansas City, Kansas, whose journey through music is as vibrant as the cities he's performed in. With roots that stretch back to childhood, CoCoJ first captivated audiences as the lead singer of an all-male quartet in his church, backed by a choir of Sunday school classmates. That early foundation blossomed into a lifelong commitment to music and performance.
Through the years, CoCoJ Jackson has become a fixture on stages across Kansas City, Missouri and beyond, including memorable performances at the Harvest Moon Festival (2014-2016), the iconic GEM Theater, Club Inferno, Club Rain, Jamaican G's, 18th & Troost -to- 31st & Troost, Club Uptown (KCKS), Club Spice, and countless block parties and family events. From captivating wedding guests at receptions to energizing community block parties and gospel venues, CoCoJ’s dynamic presence brings crowds together wherever the stage may be.
CoCoJ’s path was set in motion after winning first place at his high school talent show in ‘93, before going on to perform professionally with a close-knit group of friends following graduation in ‘94.
Drawing from this diverse background, CoCoJ Jackson channels real-life stories, Midwest hustle, and raw emotion into every performance and track. Driven by a desire to inspire and uplift, CoCoJ fuses classic and contemporary hip hop influences to create music that’s both deeply personal and universally relatable.
