Not at mad at you Glad you changed Been 18 years Feel like I've never known you Still proud of you Since 14 he almost through his life away Had potential but lost the plans along the way Started getting into trouble at school and home A kid with a pure heart almost had lost his soul Went down the path of drug abuse Never seen his wrongs but blame the world for his use Mom and dad always had his back Became a criminal paid the time for that Was wanted for something I still don't know Almost killed several times , by a different foe He was knocked over twice still never learnt Instead his hate turned up like a curse To me he was my brother To others Joberg, Kaapi and a road runner I still seemed to believe in him Like David he battled against giants except this time the giant was him Please forgive him Please forgive him Please forgive him Please forgive him Battled with demons trapped inside He lost himself and had almost died Just went with it and took life like a tied Got locked up and many nights I cried Was hoping he would change at any time Took him years later for him to decide Ran away from of a life of crime and drugs Turned his life around because of love The love for himself and his family His changed for good and spared us agony It was a choice almost between life and death Can't live daily as if it we were not blessed Saved by grace and God as a witness Can't throw no stones coz I'm not sinless I'm just glad his back on track but still fearless Accept for the fear of God coz his love is instant
