Am I Forgivable? I’m sorry for what I’ve done, Instead of fight my demons I turned around to run, Thought I was smarter but only enough to realize I’m dumb, Now my heart thumps to the beat of a broken drum, Instead of fighting like a man I woke up with my crib and my thumb, It’s hard to do what’s right, Idk why but it’s like finding a needle in a hay stack at night, The path I need to follow ended up outta sight, Ik I am blind while I search for the light, I wonder if it’d even help if I sit here and cry, This is not what I want to leave behind the day that I die, Or tell the kids the truth to a heartbreaking lie, When judgement day appears I pray that the sentence is light, I don’t make it a mission to do my life harm, If I had a choice to be sin free I’d give a leg and an arm, Trouble finds me like hay finds a barn, I may get lucky in life but it’s no pot of gold or good luck charm, I think of it as a warning, You never know when it’s your last morning, Like the last drop from a storm that is pouring, The last hit from a blacksmith forging... I believe that everyone’s life has a purpose, This worlds not under a lit sign sayin “circus”, The abrupt blow from the truth may hurt us, But the goal is more clear once ur able to settle the dust, Society has almost destroyed all meaning of trust, That butterfly like tingle in the gut, Let’s put this motivation in four wheel drive before we carve a deeper rut, We don’t have to fall in this generations march chanting “one hut, two hut”, There’s no strings attached because they’ve already been cut, By a higher power who invented unconditional love, Whose teachings and lifestyle fit better than a custom glove, Guiding us in His own way somewhere up above, All there is to do is take a chance, But ik there are some that won’t even take time to glance, Changing their beliefs, opinions, and overall stance, Chaotic and lost like confused fire ants, Just following anyone ahead like a non-choreographed line dance, But we can be the hero and give those the life saving second chance🙏
