I put on a mask, sit with the edge/ you think you know me, no way that you can/ cause I don't even know me, tryin to find myself/ so, I put on a mask just to remind myself/ cuz I look within and find the light that there straight guiding me I cannot care what terms of use you use to be defining me I find in me the will to beat defeat down to both it's knees compassion is the only way to make a cure to my disease I put on a mask, and hide who I am/ cannot sit on the edge, it's time that i stand/ cause nothing is changing, until I light the flame/ you think that you know me, but I was just playing/ I'm serious now no one can understand the pain that they been through/ unless they let it go and take up their God's inner point of view/ I'd point at you, but then you shrink, cry and run to hide away/ so put on a mask at the start of the day and make sure everything else is okay/ I put on a mask, to hide who I am/ forgetting the past, and being present/ I put on a mask, to keep y'all guessing/ is today going to last? a lesson or blessing/ just put on a mask, define who you are/ and the find in the mask all that you want...
