I wrote this in 2001. I write free verse so I had to make it rhyme. I've been converting a lot of my old poetry into raps lately. Just for the hell of it.

Trap music developed during the period of the 90s to 2000s, typically in the south of the US. It is usually recognised by the beat involving hi-hats, bass drum and synthesisers. Lyrically, themes involve typical violence, club life, drug culture and street life.

Gangsta rap evolved from the mid-80s from hardcore rap, mainly defined by the lyrical content about gangsta lifestyle usually based on crime and violence.

Classic hip-hop originates from the 80s, pushing through to the 90s and early 2000s. The flow is normally more simple and often has a slower tempo.
