DEAR JESUS

Dear Jesus, you hear me, I’m lost in this silence, Seeking your presence, I’m drowning in violence. Six one nine raised me, the streets left a mark, Fighting my demons, I wander through dark. Life’s heavy, I’m weary, the burdens I carry, Momma was praying while I was feeling scary. In the shadows of doubt, I’m searching for peace, Hoping your guidance will help me release. I know I strayed far, but my heart’s still intact, Searching for strength, I’m calling you back. Times I’ve been reckless, choices that haunt, But I’m here on my knees, in this life’s daunting font. Keep me from evil, I’m begging for grace, In a world full of pain, I’m lost in the chase. With faith as my armor, I’m ready to fight, Dear Jesus, I’m hoping you’ll guide me tonight.
