Flag

-- Waving in the wind, colors flying high Red and white and blue beneath the sky Symbol of the nation, standing proud and tall A piece of fabric meaning everything to all Stripes of history, stars that shine so bright Planted in the ground or held up to the light Through the storms and struggles, through the joy and pain It remains a beacon in the sun and rain Hands held together underneath its fold Stories of the brave and stories to be told From the battlefields to the streets we know It's the flag that makes us one, watching as we grow Waving at the dawn of every brand new day Reminding us of those who paved the way In the hearts of millions, it will always be The flag that represents our liberty
