©️If You Want🌹My Softness
©️If You Want🌹Softness [Verse 1] Forty hours punched in, then I punch my own clock Rent due, tank low, still the bills don’t stop Hair, nails, groceries, every mile that I drive I keep the whole thing moving, keep myself alive You see me standing tall, think I don’t feel strain I learned to carry everything and walk through the rain But strong ain’t the same as never needing a hand I built this armor ‘cause I had to withstand [Pre-Chorus] You want me soft, you want me sweet Want open arms when I can’t find sleep Tell me, what did you do to make room? How can I rest when I’m holding it all? [Chorus] If you want my softness, make me feel safe Be part of the reason I can put it away I can’t pour you peace when I’m fighting to breathe There’s nothing left over, there’s nothing to leave If you want my heart with the walls coming down Help me set this heavy life on the ground I wasn’t born hard, I was left to survive Give me somewhere safe, and watch me come alive 🌹An independent woman telling the truth men could miss. She punches forty+ hours, then punches her own clock. Rent, gas, hair, nails, groceries — she keeps life moving and still gets called cold when she can’t find softness on empty. She was not born hard. She was left to survive. The armor is the shape of the years. If he wants her soft, sweet, and open, he has to make her feel safe first. Not a rescue. A partnership. Steady hands. Room to set the weight down. Then the walls can come down, and the strong girl can breathe. —Excerpt: A woman working 40+ hours a week paying for our own hair, nails, rent, car, food and gas handling everything by herself may not find it natural to be the soft feminine woman you expect her to be. Softness requires safety, and she cannot access softness while her nervous system is stuck in constant survival. Constantly calculating...constantly carrying the weight of a life noone is helping her hold. And no she can't bring you peace when she is in survival mode. She has nothing extra to give because everything she has is already going toward keeping her own life afloat. You want her rested, gentle and available emotionally, but you haven't asked yourself what you've actually done to make that possible for her. If you want the softness, the femininity, the peace, you have to be part of the reason her nervous system finally gets to rest. That role does not fill itself. A woman is not hard because she chooses to be. She is hard because life demanded she build armor just to survive it alone.
