Then I'm Done

Rolling off to work and I'm cramming at the light. Just down the street yet the traffic's very tight. Scrolling 1000 thoughts a minute cuz that's what women do. Lingering work drama, and random thoughts of you. I'm half the lonely people but I know where I belong. Do I choose my only freedom, where my heart feels very strong. I wait for you like the last fish waiting for the bait. I served your favorite meal, but you already ate. It took you a lot of courage and strength from above. Wish you all the happiness, I wish you all the love. Movin on to next part of this journey that I choose. Prayers and love to gain with very little left to lose. ★★★ I walk alone through this murky realm. I'm on the prowl. Cocked and loaded. I'll be in disguise, just to feel free now. Thought I never understood love. So I had no desire. Thought I would never feel love again. So I never let it in. He could be a man. So strong and confident. He could be a man. So unruly and loud. But he never even tried. He figured I'd do it all. And I knew he always lied. I couldn't even let out my cries. This unraveling rage. It grows strong now. But don't you stand in my way. Or I'll have to knock you down. Then I'll be gone. Then I'm done.
