You came in sounding like Marvin for a second, didn’t you? I really like this song. The hook is hard, the storytelling is strong, and you know how to ride a beat. Once the verse came in, I could immediately tell you can rap. I also really liked the melodic pre-hook going back into the main hook. I wasn’t expecting it, but it worked. The details in the writing made the story easy to follow and gave me something to visualize, and lines like “stop, drop and roll” played perfectly into the concept. Even the vocal moments and ad-libs were placed in spots that made them memorable. This is a really well put together track.
