IRON CEDAR — “TIME IN MY HANDS”

IRON CEDAR — “TIME IN MY HANDS” [Intro] Yeah… Iron Cedar. Solo. Generations. It’s just me against the world—and I'm loving it. Ain't nobody gotta understand the vision. I got time in my hands… And that's something money can't buy. [Hook] It's just me against the world, and I'm loving it, Solo with the dream, ain't nobody above it. Time in my hands—that's the richest possession, Eyes on the sky, I'ma chase my direction. One way or another, I'ma make it successful, While they stressing over life, I'ma stay purposeful. Pen and pencil, turning pain into potential, Old-school ride laid back—feeling presidential. [Verse 1] I got time in my hands, that's a priceless commodity, Dreams pointed skyward, building my own economy. I ain't watching everybody, I just watch what I'm doing, They caught up in the stress, I'm caught up in improving. Pen in my hand, pencil scratching through the mental, Every bar got weight, every sentence instrumental. You been running in circles so long, need to change your dental, I'm rolling old-school, stretched back, presidential. You still riding rentals, I'm riding what I own, Built a whole identity from the dirt and the stone. Every line I draw leave a picture in your temple, Chalk-outline flow—crime-scene instrumental. I don't need to act hard, I let the punchlines speak, Seven days in the week, I'm still grinding all week. You looking in the mirror like, "Who the hell is that?" 3D hologram vision—I'm the one coming back. [Verse 2] Artificial intelligence—nah, I meant inspiration, I don't need an algorithm to create my destination. Big mouth, little ears, but I hear every detail, Never needed validation just to know that I prevail. Northwoods in my blood, rivers running through the story, Buildings and the runners, trying to turn struggle into glory. Sixth through eighth grade, I was already learning lessons, Schoolyard pressure turned the pain into expression. Red, black, blue—had the whole school talking, Kool-Aid nickname, but I was still sidewalk walking. Young and wild, but I always held my ground, Now I'm older with a pen and I'm putting it down. Used to chase the dollar, trying to make something stretch, Five into twenty, trying to turn struggle into checks. Urban community taught me how to hustle and adapt, Now I flip that same energy into music on a track. I ain't glorifying yesterday, I'm documenting the scars, Turned the lessons from the blocks into these country bars. Now the dollar ain't the only thing I'm trying to collect— I'm collecting memories, wisdom, time, and respect. [Bridge] Time… That's the one thing you can't purchase. Can't put it on a credit card. Can't borrow it back. So I'm spending mine wisely. Every sunrise, every verse, every mile… [Verse 3] I ain't racing anybody, I'm running my own lane, They can keep the applause, I remember all the pain. Everybody got a story, mine was written in the weather, Now I'm putting every chapter in a book called “Better.” Solo, but I never feel alone when I create, Got a pen in my pocket and a dream I can translate. If the world don't understand, let 'em watch from the sidelines, I'm building something bigger while they're staring at the timelines. Old-school whip, leather seat, sitting back relaxed, Northwoods roads underneath me, got the whole thing mapped. I don't need a convoy, I don't need a entourage, Just a tank full of gas and a vision from the heart. One way or another, I'ma make it to the summit, They can doubt me every day—I ain't changing nothing. It's Iron Cedar, let the whole world witness this: I had nothing but some time… Now I'm turning time into riches. [Final Hook] It's just me against the world, and I'm loving it, Solo with the dream, ain't nobody above it. [Outro] Yeah… Solo. Generations. Iron Cedar. Black Sheep Records. They can have the money. I'm keeping the time. Because when it's gone… You can't buy another minute.
