underneath the weight

I wake up tired though I barely slept, Carrying feelings I never said. The world keeps moving, I stand still, Trying to climb this endless hill. I’m underneath the weight tonight, Lost somewhere between dark and light. I laugh so no one sees the pain, Then cry when I’m alone again. But somewhere underneath it all, There’s still a voice that says, “Don’t fall.” Some days the sun feels far away, And getting through feels like a fight. But even stars disappear sometimes, Before they return to the night.So I’ll breathe through one more day, Even if the darkness stays. I don’t know when I’ll feel alright, But I’ll keep searching for the light
