Doubting Thomas

Doubting Thomas (Intro) Yeah. Look. We talk about faith, we talk about sight, Walking through the shadows, searching for the light. You know the story. Let’s take it back to the Upper Room. Check it out. (Verse 1) See, Thomas doubted, even though he walked with the LORD, He watched the blind get sight, saw the peace get restored. He watched Lazarus get raised from the dead But when the cross came down, Thomas went and lost his head The rumor spread around: "Yo, the Master’s alive!" But Thomas shook his head, like, "How could HE survive?" "Unless I see the nails, unless I touch the scars, My faith is locked up behind these mental bars." He got a bad rap doubting  called the skeptic one, he needed to see truth  from the resurrected Son. A week passed by, the doors locked from the inside, Then the Savior stepped through, there was nowhere left to hide. No anger in His eyes, no judgment in His tone, He said, "Thomas, look, you are not alone. Touch my hands, touch my side, let your questions cease," And Thomas fell down, finally finally found HIS peace. (Chorus) Don't be a big doubter like Thomas Before time GOD made a promise He gave a way back to be with HIM Through Jesus Christ we can be forgiven of our sins Yeah, we want the proof, we want to touch HIS hands, Trying to find our footing in unstable sand. Look at the world, look at the perfect design, He’s leaving us a message in space and time. (Verse 2) Look at the beauty of this world He made, You see the mountains, oceans— I tell ya, none would I trade. From the peaks of the Rockies to the deep Pacific blue, Every single sunrise is a witness that HE'S true. You tell me it’s a big boom? I tell you it’s a canvas, Painted by the Creator who made every planet. Thomas needed to see to break through his despair, But we just gotta breathe to know He’s standing there. In the rustle of the leaves, in the crashing of the waves, In the quiet of the night, it’s His presence that saves. Jesus said, "Blessed are the ones who don't see, But still put their full weight on me spoken So don't feel ashamed if you got questions in your mind, Even the closest followers were sometimes left blind. Doubt isn't the end, yo,  it’s a place to start, If you bring it to the light with a humble heart. He doesn't push away, He meets you in the room, Breathing out His Spirit, breaking thru the doom.
