UNDERSTAND ME

See I was chasing a feature/ feel like I needed a feature/ yet the culmination of features had me deeply thinking/ was I chasing something just to feel measured up/ who’s holding the measuring cup/ was the measure even good measure that was measured in my cup/ I felt a hunger in my spirit like it was the last supper/ breaking bread to get ahead cuz I don’t wanna see you suffer/ will you cuff her, will you love her would you ever hold the cover to not expose what she knows bout that significant other/ how could you make her choose the next things she would do/ how could you make her prove something soo removed/ I would never give a clue to my next move/ if ur smart you would know this/ I will put you on notice/ if you I’ve known then you knew this like Jesus knew Judas/ a confused clue on your next move became clueless/ sing me a Lalliby but leave out the words for me/ subtle things like life painted a picture that occurred to me/ if you judge you’ll be judged/ but what if your a judge that judging/ would that principle not apply to the action of that person?/the plot thickens and worsens/ I carry my own burdens/ while living in the suburban/ while driving a black suburban/ being attacked for being black for no good purpose/ if you tell me I’m delusional I’ll tell you people are using you/ if you use common sense, would see a common shit/ if not true then why their bottom line has more commas then yours?/ as I grew older my list of demand grew shorter/ my eyes grew wiser my vision became broader/ life became sweet like pie the more that I would try/ like a tall man near a tall shelve filling a tall order/ I would bite my tongue but I need it to speak/ pulling from the pit of my soul like I’m needing to preach/ atleast at the very least I can just release/ the vulnerable side of me that desires to be seen/ pray for me once I appreciate it/ pray for me twice I feel appreciated/ pray for me thrice if I’m high off life planted with a sober mind, wonder could I still be inneabrated/ i need ur push to be real / sussshh and be still / a steel creating sussshh is another soul being killed/ I feel alive inside I wanna dive inside/ providing lyrical lip service to maintain my drive inside/ so don’t insult my intelligence/ with artificial intelligence/ the art of talent true talent is the key to true reverence/ this is my feature and I approve/ souls in my sprirt and you know I’m not moving/
