This one real personal for me. This ain't me tryna make the struggle sound cool or glorify none of that shit, this is really how we lived. Two bedroom railroad apartment 6 people deep, food stamps, welfare, hustlin food stamps for cash, bullshit payless sneakers and sellin shit way younger than I had any business doing it. Strays through the fuckin window and kept shit moving cause what else was we supposed to do? Being broke wasn't some character building story when we was living it. Shit was just life. So I wanted this track to really put you there. The smell of them hallways, dominoes hittin the table, empty fridge, sirens outside, all that shit. Boricua bred, NYC raised and this is part of what made me who the fuck I am. My entry into the RF Studio Contest.
