tournament freestyle

Here's a gritty freestyle built around the story you shared, keeping it reflective rather than celebratory. "Scars Don't Lie" Yeah... Straight F's all across the paper, teachers said I wouldn't be nothin'. Back row sleepin', stomach touchin' ribs, survival meant more than discussin'. Court dates before graduation, gang-affiliated allegations. Young wild mind, every bad choice felt like my only destination. House arrest bracelet on, still slipped out for service with the Mo's. Couldn't let the family stand alone, that's just how the code goes. Mo Swan used to call me "Eric," still hear it in my soul. R.I.P. Swan... news called you a community hero, fearless to the core. Sent me off to St. Joe's, court said that's where I had to stay. I ran before they could discharge me, I was gone the very next day. Always ran from structure, never ran from smoke. Thought freedom meant the streets until my whole life broke. Grandpa left that .45 when the nursing home called his name. Plymouth and Penn memories, nothin' ever stayed the same. Outside Luceal's tryna make a flip, pockets full of desperation. Every dollar had a story, every move invited confrontation. Baby mama in the trap, nine months, belly to the sky. Blue lights hit the block, everybody askin' why. Threw the dope into the snow, heart beatin' out my chest. One decision from a coffin or another county vest. Job Corps down in Chicago, thought I'd finally change lanes. Found another hood, more opps, different faces, same pain. Didn't know the CTA, every train looked the same. Lost in a new city, still carryin' the old flame. Every scar got a timestamp, every loss got a face. Learned the hard way you can't outrun yesterday's mistakes. Now I wear my history, I don't pretend it's clean. 'Cause the man I am today was built from everything I've seen. If these walls could talk, they'd tell you I survived. Not because I never fell... because somehow I'm still alive.
