Shattered Diamonds I trace the lines of tender skin, A beauty held where dreams begin. To feel the glow of feminine grace, To find a home in a warm embrace. Yet I am drifting, a soul in flight, Just passing through the wind tonight. No comfort found, no shelter near, Just silence where I long to hear. Why is everyone so passive, like a shadow on the wall? They walk across the shattered glass, and never heed my call. They don’t notice the pieces of my heart across the floor, Ignoring all the beauty that I carried here before. They look for diamonds in the sky, they chase the light above, But never see the diamonds underneath their feet, my love. I’m treated like a hollow prize, a relic on display, While the fragments of my spirit slowly wash away. ### 1. I carry a garden inside of my chest, Where secrets of longing take time to find rest. It isn’t a sorrow, it’s just a soft flame, Waiting for someone to whisper my name. 2. My silhouette dances in ribbons of gold, A story of kindness that waits to be told. I walk through the morning, a ghost of a grace, Searching for eyes that can look at my face. 3. The wind is a traveler, just like my soul, Searching for pieces that make a heart whole. I breathe in the sunlight, I breathe out the doubt, Tracing the beauty I’m dreaming about. 4. To be a soft woman is power unseen, A lush, velvet meadow, a deep forest green. I am the ocean that pulls at the shore, Always giving, and asking for more. 5. There is a music in how I exist, Caught in the silver of early-day mist. I am a melody, waiting for keys, Floating as light as a song on the breeze. 6. My heart is an artifact, polished and rare, A treasure I’m learning to handle with care. I am not looking for chains or for prize, Just for the wonder that blooms in your eyes. 7. The moon is a mirror of all I could be, Reflecting the tides of the soul inside me. I hold all my tenderness close to my skin, Welcoming all of the light to come in. 8. I am the fabric of dreams being spun, Waiting to shimmer beneath a new sun. No longer shattered, just waiting to bloom, Clearing the shadows away from the room. 9. Perhaps I am patience, perhaps I am time, Looking for someone who speaks in my rhyme. Not a possession to sit on a shelf, But someone who finds all the worth in herself. 10. I love how the light catches lines on my hand, A map of the places I’ve yet to command. I am a journey, a path, and a song, The place where the beauty of living belongs. 11. I wear my own spirit like silk on my frame, A flickering spark that is more than a name. I’m gentle in spirit, I’m steady in sight, Glowing like stars in the middle of night. 12. Why should I hurry to be understood? I’m standing as tall as I possibly could. I am the blossom that opens in spring, Waiting to see what the future will bring. 13. I look at the sky and I see my own reflection, Moving toward peace and a quiet perfection. My heart is a candle, my skin is the wick, Burning with love that is steady and thick. 14. I am not fragile, though I may seem thin, There is a mountain of iron within. But I keep it hidden for someone to find, Someone who’s truly and utterly kind. 15. Let them chase diamonds that fall from the sky, I’ll keep the sparkle that lives in my eye. I am the earth and the pulse in the clay, Growing more brilliant with each passing day. 16. I listen to rhythms of life in the street, Finding a balance in my own two feet. I am the witness to all that is fair, Floating on currents of hope in the air. 17. There is a grace in the way I am still, Bending with purpose, like grass on a hill. I do not need to be easy or small, I am the beauty that answers the call. 18. If I am a prize, I am one that you earn, With patience and kindness, with lessons to learn. I offer my spirit, a gift to the wise, Who look past the surface to see the sunrise. 19. I am the dreamer, the poet, the muse, With nothing to hide and with nothing to lose. I step through the doorway and leave all the gray, Walking toward colors of a much brighter day. 20. So here I am standing, a soul full of light, Ready to shine in the soft of the night. The world is a chorus, and I am the verse, The tenderest heart in this whole universe.
