Abraham and Isaac

Verse 1 Genesis scene, Mount Moriah terrain, Faith on trial, obedience sharper than pain, Abraham walkin’ with the promise in veins, Only son, covenant blood in his name, Isaac ask, “Where the lamb for the flame?” Abraham said it, prophetic, no shame: “God gon’ provide,” every syllable rang, Future echo of Calvary stamped in the frame, Wood on his back, uphill he climb, Just like Christ carried beams for mankind, Knife in the hand but his heart stayed aligned, Trustin’ the Author of space and of time. Hook God will provide, yeah Jehovah-Jireh, Fire on the altar but the faith get higher, Tested but true, never fold, never tire, Pointin’ to the cross, every verse get louder. Verse 2 Angel cried out, “Abraham, stop!” Ram in the thicket, grace hit the spot, Blood not Isaac’s, mercy unlocked, Substitution written deep in the plot, But fast-forward centuries, different hill, No angel stoppin’ when the Father’s will, Son not spared, nails driven in still, Perfect Lamb slain so the lost get healed, Crown of thorns, not a ram in a bush, Wood on His back, still obeyed, never pushed, From Moriah’s test to Golgotha’s look, Same God, same plan, same holy book. Hook God will provide, yeah Jehovah-Jireh, Promise kept, truth burn brighter than fire, Isaac was spared, but the Christ went higher, Love paid the price, now the grave retired. Verse 3 So when He asks me to lay it all down, Dreams on the altar, my pride, my crown, I remember the hill where grace was found, And trust the same God still runnin’ it now, If He gave His Son, He won’t fail the rest, Romans eight stamped on my chest, Every trial preachin’ “God knows best,” Every delay just a setup for yes, I don’t worship outcomes, I worship the King, Faith ain’t a feeling, it’s obedience singin’, From Genesis roots to redemption rings, One Lamb, one cross, one victory.
