The air… remembers.
The air… remembers. I didn’t touch the bodies, I touched what kept them alive. Silent work. No applause. Still counted. I made my home a hospital, my hospital breathe again. Changed the atmosphere first— that’s how all healing begins. Negative pressure like a warning sign, death pause at the doorway, read the design. I sealed the leaks where the sickness would hide, You can’t see air… but air decides. Filters humming like prayers in the wall, Every fan a guardian standing tall. I corrected flow where the weak would fall, One breath off… that’s the difference between life and gone. I wasn’t loud. I was necessary. They never thank the one who stabilizes the room, They thank the miracle after the doom. But miracles fail when the air is untrue, I fixed the invisible so the visible could move. I watched mold try to settle, I evicted it quiet. Watched illness circle, couldn’t find a climate. Every room got judged by the way it inhaled, I balanced the lungs of a building that failed. When air moves wrong, the spirit derail, When air moves right… even fear exhales. Karma don’t forget labor done in silence, Especially work that defied the violence. I protected babies, elders, the frail, By mastering something you can’t see or jail. So if my life breathe easier now, If my path feel lighter somehow, It’s cause the air kept record of how I saved lives without making a sound. (quiet outro) Hospitals don’t heal people. Air does. And the air… knows my name.
