Split the Sea

Hook (Exodus 14:14) “The Lord fights for me, I’ma stay still, Enemies heavy but my God’s real. Staff in my hand when the waves rise high, He split the sea wide — watch His people walk by.” Verse 1 — Baby in the Basket (Exodus 2:1–10) Born in the time when the pressure was wicked, Pharaoh said kill ’em but God had a mission. Mama put Moses afloat on the river, Covered by grace when the currents delivered. Pulled by a princess — divine intervention, God had a plan that the devil ain’t mention. Raised in the palace but Hebrew in spirit, Purpose was loud — only faith could hear it. Verse 2 — The Burning Bush (Exodus 3:2–10) Saw a bush burnin’ but flames didn’t fade, Moses said “What is this?!” — God said “Don’t be afraid.” Take off your sandals, the ground’s made holy, “I’m sending you out — now you walk with My glory.” “Let My people go!” — that’s the command, No fear in his voice with the staff in his hand. “I AM THAT I AM” spoke truth in the fire, When God calls a man, He lifts him higher. Hook (Exodus 14:14) “The Lord fights for me, I’ma stay still, Enemies heavy but my God’s real. Staff in my hand when the waves rise high, He split the sea wide — watch His people walk by.” Verse 3 — Plagues & Power (Exodus 7–12) Ten plagues dropped like heaven’s artillery, God showed Egypt who’s real — no mystery. Water turned blood, then the frogs came next, Darkness at noon had the whole land vexed. But the Passover lamb had the Hebrews safeguarded, Blood on the doorposts — new life started. Pharaoh couldn’t hold ‘em, chains fell free, When God says “move,” even kings gotta flee. Verse 4 — The Red Sea Miracle (Exodus 14:21–22) Backs to the water, no room for retreat, Army behind ’em — death in the street. But Moses stood up, staff raised to the sky, Wind from the Lord made the waters divide. Sea on the left, sea on the right, Walked through the valley with God as their light. Pharaoh chased in but he met his defeat, Waves came crashin’ — God ended that beef. Hook (Exodus 14:14) “The Lord fights for me, I’ma stay still, Enemies heavy but my God’s real. Staff in my hand when the waves rise high, He split the sea wide — watch His people walk by.” Outro – Moses’ Victory (Exodus 15:1–2) Moses sang praise when the victory was won, “The Lord is my strength, my salvation, my song.” If God moved for him, He’ll move for me — Same power that parted the entire sea.
