Look in the mirror, who's that staring back? A face carved in scars,yeah,I feel the crack, Thoughts heavy like a stone, crushing my chest, But the smiles they see, they don't know the rest. Whispers in mind,say I'm not enough,. Tryna fight this war,but the armor's been tough, Failed expectations wrapped around my soul, Like chains of doubt,no longer in control. I hate myself when the lights fade, Chasing shadows in these memories I made, Thought I could be the hero in my story, But all I'm left with is this sense of sorrow and worry. Tears falling down, tracing lines in the past, Wishing for the moments that just never last, I wear my heart like a target, took my aim, Every failed shot just adds to the blame. Lost in this maze, where did I lose pace? Every wrong turn just adds to the space, Want to forgive, but the weight's holding tight, Tangled in the darkness, out of mind, outta sight.
