From the midst of depression I come to write these bars/ Broken down and scarred wondering why life's so hard/ Trying to balance out my mood but lacking serotonin/ Remind myself life is a gift and my path is what I've chosen/ Eye on the prize don't let others sway your perception/ Everybody gets a little lost don't think your an exception/ Focus on the positive and stay in that direction/ Embrace the hate and rage and use it as a lesson/ Words are spells becareful what you cast out/ Especially what you tell and who you chose to badmouth/ Life is an illusion can you see the smoke and mirrors/ People mourn when you die but few love you while your here/ Work hard while your able, gotta pay the bills/ You pay a high cost, chasing them cheap thrills/ Watch associations, some will get you killed/ You have the tools so decide what kinda life you wanna build/ This is my perspective trying to give you guidance/ You can't see your path, staring through your eyelids/ Open up your eyes Embrace everything in sight/ You owe it to yourself, to create a happy life/ Better late than never no matter the endeavor/ Some ties choke i suggest you leave them severed/ People change everyday kinda like the weather/ Happiness is a state of mind and something you have to treasure/ Ignorance is bliss just dont be quick to play the fool/ Most watch what you dont instead of what you do/ Don't make assumptions and dont be quick to judge/ Instead of tearing people down try to build them up/ Your your best investment focus on your dreams/ Take steps everyday until you have them in your reach/
