I visited Pet Smart on a normal Tuesday night Inside were a display of betta fish I fell in love with one of them at first sight The beauty of his colors gave me delight Did I have experience taking care of a fish? Well no I didn’t but I had to take him home I gave him a home in a fish bowl The first night I had him I had nightmares I was so worried that I would be a bad pet owner That was two weeks ago The fate of Bubbles was tragic Today I found him floating above Once the beautiful living fish I loved I felt so much anguish and pain A life was lost today, RIP Mr Bubbles You brought everyone so much joy Your colorful fins glistened purple, blue, and pink Your life was gone in a blink I wish I had more time with you But may you thrive in fish heaven I’m sorry I couldn’t keep you alive You taught me a lesson I don’t want to hurt any other animal I guess I don’t make the best pet owner I’m so sorry that you are gone now But when you were alive your beauty was wow I love you Bubbles Rest in Peace
