Learned My Lesson

- I made mistake in my past but I finally learned my lesson - you can't take life to the heart or you gonna be stressing - had to find some gratitude and thank God for my blessings - gotta keep my mind sound - so I can hear His message - it was things I had to do and things I had to get corrected - battling right from wrong everyday consciously can't help it -so i switched up my routine had to find another method - don't wanna ruin my dreams so I had to wait a second - my record ain't clean but you know we gets no justice - guilty until proven innocent - all they wanna do is send me to the penitentiary - from the state of Mississippi on the rise aint no lynching me - trying hard to come up - but they trying to hold me down - keep my head above the water so a nigga won't drown - how you gon criticize me when all I did was tried to help you out - yo old ways lead to trouble tried to show you a new route - you can't lead a horse to water so you had to face the drought - pushing hard to do better cause that's what I'm all about - but this road may be lonely is what a nigga found - used to clown and laugh with ya tried to brighten up ya spirit - but you stuck in ya ways wisdom you didn't wanna hear it - don't be surprised if you sound like the topic of my lyrics - had to let it all be known moving on with agenda - I'm so tired of taking losses when I know that I'm a winner
