I seen mamas on the corner with a pipe and a prayer, Fathers lost in the fog, feeling no one cares, Been there, on my knees, screaming, “God, do You see me?” But Matthew 11:28, He said, “Come, I’ll set you free,” Pour pain in the glass, then I drank it for courage, But it only brought rage, now my hope is malnourished, But like Lazarus, He calls us out the grave we’re in, John 11:25, He’s the life, let that new breathe begin, Blood on my knuckles, bruises that the world can’t see, But He took the stripes first, Isaiah 53, So for every fiend, every queen, every soul in between, He’s the King who redeems, turning nightmares to dreams, No condemnation, just arms open wide, He’s the Father for the fatherless, the tears you can’t hide, So if you’re broken, know you’re chosen, let the chains shatter, He loves you more than life itself—nothing else matters.
