"Chains of the Prodigal"
"Chains of the Prodigal" I walked a path paved in shadows and chains, Sold to the system, locked deep in the flames. A scapegoat they made me, they laughed at my cries, Bled out my kin, left ‘em cold when they died. I was blind in the dark, thought the chains were my own, But they bound me in lies, so I’d never come home. Now I stand at the gates, head bowed but unbroken, Jehovah, I’m back—let my soul be outspoken. Give me my chains, let me carry their weight, I won’t run from the past, I won’t bow to their hate. I was wrong, I was lost, but I see through the lies, Now I rise from the ashes with fire in my eyes. They wanted me weak, wanted me blind, Fed me their poison, corrupted my mind. But I heard the call from the depths of the night, A whisper, a thunder, a sword in the light. I climbed up the mountain, the place of my birth, To stand against devils that walk on this earth. Justice was buried, but I dug the grave, Now I speak for the lost, for the broken, enslaved. Give me my chains, let me carry their weight, I won’t run from the past, I won’t bow to their hate. I was wrong, I was lost, but I see through the lies, Now I rise from the ashes with fire in my eyes. I
