I grew up on the block, around stabbings & gunshots, police patrols happening non stop, harassing us a lot, whether you’re guilty or not, hiding behind the side roads ready to plot, ready to stop, another incident, another innocent stabbed or shot, heard familiar excuses released, the typical discriminative speech, matching the identity, coincidentally the same clothing, the same scoping, ethnicity, let me drop an example of my history, heard gunshots, roads blocked, blood spots, armed police quickly pointed their guns at me at the bus stop, put the handcuffs on my wrists, I’m exhausted with them taking the piss, they’ve been watching me from when I was little kid, use to make silly digs, I can’t stand these pigs, trigger happy, snappy shooting another kid, the same old shh, some that’s barely out their nappy, waving guns, the same old scene’s another stop and search, another mother’s scream, scorning down to undermining your worth, I had it hard from birth, my mother raised us through the hurt, the streets is hot, tape round the streets, covering puddles of blood, have to watch your back, too many corrupt, peoples are raw, got time for postcode wars,
