Hello Darkness My Best Friend
Hello Darkness We Meet Again Hello Darkness We Meet again, I've learned how to embrace you my friend. But instead of being blind in the darkness it became my peace. My energy learned how to be one with the darkness so I could love myself again. People don't realize the peacefulness of being able to see clearly in the darkest of times. Too many people have beyond lost their life, I know because I almost lost mine. Until I realized that when you learn how to see clearly through the darkness you automatically have the light. No more pain, and sorrow and crying myself to sleep at night. No more woe is me and no more thought of suicide. When you can see clearly in the darkness nothing can cause fright. Even God said out of eternal darkness let there be light. Which has to mean even he lived in darkness for all eternity So if he understood the power that comes with walking in darkness why can't you and I? Wipe the tears from your eyes and look open them wide. Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride. For once you learn how to see in the darkness you automatically will have the light. The darkness is my best friend, I can't wait to see it again, The darkness is my peace, I can't wait till I'm deceased. Drowning out the noise, Trying to keep my poise, That's the way I have to cope, Feel the tightness in my throat. Heart's beating through my chest, Wishing it was my last breath, Will I finally get to meet my death? Or just have to face the day again? Will they toll the bell and let it ring? Will they have a choir sing? Only time reveals all things. So until I get to meet my end, Goodbye darkness my best friend, Glad we got to talk again, I'll see you when I see my end. But until then, I'm going to go through the motions of life again. Not knowing who are my true friends, I don't trust anyone in the end, Dreams of seeing a big black hearse, Taking a permanent nap six feet in the dirt. Hope no one cried for me, I'd be at peace finally, No fear of being hurt or abused again. Hello darkness my old friend, Here we are again, Is this where my journey ends? Or do I have to go through the motions of life again? This one thing I definitely know, The day I finally get to go, And greet death and say hello, Will be the most peaceful day I'll ever know.
