Rain

Everyday I pray that it will rain So that the rain can wash away the pain I have trust in God that he can lead the way Because he can lead us to a brighter day I know that this pain will never go away Like how I suppress my feelings on a Saturday We need weekends to strengthen and deactivate Before Monday comes otherwise it is too late My weekly cycle us like a storm that I must chase Sometimes it feels like your mind is on the wrong place I try to catch the rain But each time I miss , I can't keep the feeling that I contain It is war when I am in the booth The liquor forces you to tell the truth I pick up my phone , to get rid of the noise So that I can make music for the boys My life feels like a cage with doors So I understand when they say it rains and pours When things become too much , I ask for space Why must life feel like a big race When I woke up this morning , I could not forget about last night Sometimes you can't sleep but fight The rain makes you have deep feelings About your past and dark dealings I am struggling to get use to me Because I remember how things use to be We meet new people but can we trust them They can treat us like a fake gem The rain reminds us of our worst times We never forget about our life crimes Life is like a vapor, it disappears But we all know that rain will always appear
