I was walking with my shadow. my only friend. wading in shallow waters drowning my sorrow empty bottles stagnet liquid holes left hollow no firm path to follow. sinking I'd wallow. ready to give up. I didn't drown though. made one last call home. said save me come swallow my past. ive had enough. if it wasn't at first take my soul atlast. I was walking with my shadow. now I swim in the depths of water like glass. sunlight hits me my future to deep for shade to cast darkness as I dive deeper into His loving grasp. embraced in a trace. forgiveness grace and mercy i never thought could last. always half hearted promises. These words have no mask. faced the truth now I have life and more than a chance. I'm free in eternity. in this love I'll bask. floating no need to gasp for air. I'm breathing all I was needing the voice no rasp its clear telling me to let go of the shadow its left at the bottom of this river trapped with fears. my scars i look. i don't stare. my sins taken. there's only lessons back there. the blessings keep raining Jesus I'm right here. I'm right here. the same cross and burdens we bare. my life build on compassion empathy and care. . riding your horse a beautiful mare. today I see something worth while in the mirror image I was created the demons don't dare to disrupt my living don't enter my realm my lamps still burning blinding a different direction they steer as I stand on foundation so much higher than Satan. so much higher then hatred. so I'm high on how you made this life Love.how couldn't i trust. how couldn't I hum your sweet hyms in this rain I don't rust. because of you I'm Alive again. the son will rise again.
