This one took a while to perfect, I decided to try a slightly different style for it and to add in more symbolic bars, I hope it turned out as fire as I think it did 🤞🔥 💯 "Better Days" -VynallDash what would you tell me if I told you to define love? the meaning lost itself, and me? ill never have enough I just remind myself again and again, that I'll be hurting if I let this girl be more than a friend cause I been thinking 'bout this question since my last went away I'll never find myself forgetting, I've been hurt and betrayed and so I tell myself 'forget it, live your best till the grave' and yet I meet someone again, do what I can to be brave I must be insane— the definitions right on the page expecting something new to happen and it fills me with rage just wanna go back to the better days when nothing else mattered I'd hang with friends in school again and sit among all the chatter I wanna only worry 'bout my grades and passing the time while other kids were passing footballs I'd be passing a rhyme see I was different from 'em, I was just a kid with a dream I wanted to be famous, didn't wanna play on a team back then I thought that life was easy, just one hit and you're done I never thought that most of us would have to walk before run I never thought I'd keep on having thoughts of grabbing a gun I never thought it'd be this hard to smile and not be so numb and yet I find myself back here again just tapping away just tryna set the table once again, keep hunger at bay I'm starving for attention, man I just don't know what to say I'll try to get my fill from John or Jane these does in array I'm seeing all these people smiling, thinking 'that could be me' I'm seeing all this love from fans who try to give sympathy and yet I find my smile delusive, how sincere could I be- when earth keeps caving in around me, tell me, where is the key? the lock on satisfactions tight, no answer that I can see till wally's found I'll have to hide myself, pretend to be free I'll wear this mask I've made myself, though all these thoughts are weighty I may be running out of steam, you think I'm tired? maybe (nah... I'm tired of this.) I'm looking for a way to smile, when pain hits hard as a train I'm gonna find a way to laugh again and love what I gain I'm clearing all the cloudy skies above and stopping the rain I'm dodging all the traffic round me but I'll stay in my lane I'm going up and never looking back, no longer insane I'm gonna make my life my own, on top this castle I'll reign I'm gonna be the king of me, no more will I feel the pain I'm bigger than I've ever been before, ill show them my name this shit that's running through my head is tiring, making me sick- I'm sick of taking all this pain, now pride's what ill gladly pick so now ill liberate myself, no longer slave to that shit I'm finding joy within myself, now all the bad ill omit so If you ever find you're down and out just listen to me we all have purpose on this earth and with some time, you'll agree so when I tell you you are loved just take my words right to heart don't ever let your mind get best of you and tear you apart cause everybody on this planet has a reason to live so we should all stay hand in hand and love is what we should give
