These cliches Take me away Reminiscing bout all the shit , Better days I been missing , I began dissin Long before I knew my parents said they were disappointed When I was skipping I’m middle school And missin lessons Now I sit inside this mind It like a prison sentence, Recently I’ve been reminiscing Rules and laws I’ve been neglecting No listening Cost me protection I messed with , Real life Now my confessions And now my contradiction’s Are contradicting life lessons Can’t tell if this is real life Fact or fiction Sobriety or addiction Live or die It’s my decision This is my book And it’s been written I can understand How selfish was an option But choosing selfish was the Worst part of my childhood Now I’ve been dialed in I just recently learned That hash tags - and pound sounds Are not the same thing I remember when I was young Hanging out in the play ground Music it had the same sounds Ended up in the shelter And then homeless downtown So I reached out Shit was profound Now I just listen to these beats With these head phones there so loud All I see now Are star struck sky’s With no clouds My family So proud So here I stand No longer on a Cliff But on a stage as I bow The crowds Wowed These hardships I found ground Now I’m sitting And writing these vows First I vow to never let any one ever again put me down To work hard I’ll take this crown And happiness is Is when you learn to pass it down Humility is what I found So now I can take my tape it’s been rewound Now lately i noticed I’ve been coasting Living life to the fullest Considered boasting Don’t let life pass you by Make the most of it My friends and family They Bolster me They hold me up Now I’ve grown up I put in the work Now I shown up No longer at work Looking for a promotion Cause I put in the work And I’m about to blow up .
