Back when I was kid I had no chance I would sit in my room and try to sing and dance Parents told me to drop it and turn away I said whatever And did it anyway You see I don’t give up When I fail I learn I give thanks to God and get blessed in return But back to the part when I was a kid Remember the pickle jar you know the one with the lid It was so hard to open It was like you had to be chosen When you open the jar You feel like you know who you are But when you fail you begin to bail So call on the lord if you’re mad or bored For the lords advice is colder than ice Yea now that I’m big I’ve got a chance Parents both love it when I sing an dance When I make a song They sing it all day long Yea I never give up I never will Just because I fail doesn’t mean I’m gonna sit still
