@theromantictruth And lastly. It sounds as if the vocals are a bit louder than the instrumental weakening the dynamics between the two so maybe just close in the gap just a bit to strengthen the tracks level of parallel compression

@theromantictruth Things I think you should work on: I personally did not like the chorus parts because they were sounding a bit exaggerated just a bit too much almost like you’re trying to sound like Kendrick? Or perhaps it’s just your style of music I am not 100% sure either way, you want to be original not a duplicate or a second or a wannabe. You shouldn’t want to be compared to anybody.. You want to BE the comparison!
