have you ever found yourself in the wake of the disaster following the footsteps of Shadows stumbling over portraits memories no one came back for it's discerning I'm floored personally searching feeding my soul in the aftermath of a war the undertow Ground Zero no morning no turning back waiting for tomorrow surrounded in pages of ghosts im learning more in this land of sorrow tell me where to go ill follow I'm all alone I'm all alone in the unknown im over thrown but im not alone please take me home please take me home looking ahead there's a glow flickering lights of survivors fighting for life hold tight embers in the night floating sky high butterflies of fires shining bright in the wake of a disaster following the cries of another chapter looking for answers im trying my hands are tied im going blind from left to right theres dust in my eyes im all in my head counting steps sweaty hands and paralyzed and i realize its the ashes of the dead bringing me home im following the footsteps of my own covered in someones hope so i keep going into a glimmer of tomorrow butterflies of fire shining on survivors heavenly winged spirits in flight I praying now please stay where i can see im breathing in pieces of me buried beneath the path i need to find whoevers crying i feel like im flying dont stop crying dont let go im trying but im all alone im all alone in the unknown im over thrown god let me go im chasing ghosts please take me home here i go you're gonna make it seconds left theres blank pages no thank yous please you saved me just fill in the spaces no more more chasing theres a path behind us and even though your scared just know its dark but your not alone im all alone im all alone in the unknown im over thrown i never let go im going home
