Been hustling since I was little
a baby with money and a rattle
never forget when I only went to school to sale candy
tootsie rolls turned into money rolls
That's what you call magic
my own abra cadabra
was the only 16 year old pushing a jaguar
Went from there to the streets
low down and dirty creeping in sheets
Got paid for having sex
a pimp at the best
hated the fact I had to rock bullet proof vest
But I stood 100 nothing less
went out to impress
Had to make bread for my family by any means
even if it meant creating monsters and fiends
got to the point I was making minimum wage
shit drove me to rage
Every other weekend I was rapping on a stage
yet I was still in a cage
So I flipped it and went to college
I stuffed myself wit Knowledge
got a wife
tried to contend with life
Had a baby boy
couldn't afford his toy
Failed classes cause I was partying and drinking
I was in the sunken place and I was steadly sinking
but I clung to my soul, created my goal
Until the day I graduated
Ppl still to this day surprised and excited that I made it
now i have a degree marked as honoree
forever in place in stone tablets meant to mark the history
s/0 to the hustle
the grind to just survive
now I'm at my destination
took some time to arrive
but I'm here staring at death in the face with no fear
my closest mom was diagnosed with cancer
She use to tell me stories about how she use to be dancer
I watched her fight it every night
cutting off her TV cause it has to much light
thought my hustle ended
but it really was just beginning
I was watching my moms hustle through her endings
Yet she still survived and that taught dont give up
the greatest hustle in life
is overcoming what is corrupt
I can't thank God enough
for putting me through this stuff
the rocky road is tragic and the pathway can be rough
but hustle until the completion
and you'll destroy the competition
You have to understand money isn't anit but a piece of paper
without the hustle you can pass faster than a vapor
We don't control our moment of sleeping or waking
the hustle is real when u overdosed and shaking
or ya best friend shot next to you
then they aim the gun at you
the gun clicks somehow u survived that shit
now u watching how life hit
you want to be successful have a drinks, a car, food and a crib
Tall family yo we grilling the ribs
but hustle is deep inside, it shouldn't ever die
there's not a hustler alive who never cry
cause it takes all of your deviations
to understand your hustle is a part of your creation
