my veins
Became a man when I held my first child, Life’s a test, every struggle, I faced with a smile. Pain in my chest, but I’m learning to breathe, Death kissed my dreams, still I’m fighting to weave. Game changes quick, like the seasons in the hood, Stressed out, I was lost, misunderstood. Telling myself lies just to stay on my grind, Now I see the truth, clarity’s hard to find. Out of the dark, where the shadows creep low, Found my light in the struggle, let the river flow. Built from the ground, every brick, every scar, Turned my pain into power, now I’m raising the bar. Life in the streets, yeah, it taught me to stand, Through the trials and the tests, I’m a part of the plan. Realized I’m blessed, even when it gets tough, From the ashes I rise, man, I’m ready for love.
