Govardhan Puja

Today marks the day of “Govardhan puja”. “Govardhan” is a hill located in Vrindavan where once lived Lord Krishna. The tale goes once Lord Krishna convinced the people of Vrindavan to worship “nature” instead of Lord Indra. Because “nature” is our nourisher. Because of this Lord Indra out of wrath started pouring rain and causing floods which was ruining the assets like houses and cows of the people of Vrindavan. During which the 7 year old Lord Krishna lifted the entire hill called “Govardhan” with his little finger(pinky). For 7 days straight until Lord Indra realized who the real boss is and bowed down before Lord Krishna. Today marks the day Lord Indra became humble by Lord Krishna. While I was listening to the entire “Bhagwat Katha” from Pujya Shri Thakur Ji Maharaj. I remember him preaching that while Lord Krishna held the entire Govardhan with his pinky the people of Vrindavan started placing sticks underneath. Because they didn’t want to believe that an entire hill is uplifted by a little kid. More likely afraid of dying. Remember attaining God will make you fearless. Lord Indra on the other hand. Has been part of my hallucinations. While in conversation about him with my auditory hallucinations. The weather changed and it started raining again. I witnessed a fire triggered by a horizontal lightening at one of the balcony of the apartments across from the street. After I went downstairs and told my family my sister called 9-11. Until the people living there found out and killed it. Plus when I hallucinated I’m the most famous person in the entire universe I talked to Lord Indra. Only a what’s up? While high on ganja.
