In The Family

Today one of my dads sister and her daughter and son in law visited us from Fiji Islands. My mom was up since 5am. Doing all the cooking. I was up by 5:30 am and gave my mom a hand. My aunt has been dealing with major depression since I was a little kid. She is obsessed with water and cleaning. Today I took her to the washroom to wash her hands after tea and snacks. She wanted to rinse her mouth which she repeated. I remember when I was growing up back in Fiji Islands. Water issue was a problem to host her because of water shortages. Three of my aunts went through major depression. One of my uncle died of dementia. I’m the youngest within my dad side of the family going through schizophrenia.
