too fast

Uh… yeah. This one’s real life. For everybody who grew up too quick… Thirteen years old, (too young, too cold!) Heavy world on my chest, I was breakin’ the mold. No cartoons, no dances, just the block and the cash, Baggin’ up dirt dreams, tryna stack ‘em fast.No colors on my back, but I still crossed lines, Rolling with whoever had the hustle to shine. OGs noddin’ like, “the youngin’ got heart,” But I was just a lost kid, tryna play my part.Mama worked late, pops ghost in the wind (he gone), So the streets took me in, that became my kin. Dreams weren’t clean, they was dipped in smoke, Dollar bills on my mind, it was meth we woke.Every day I felt grown, though I barely was a teen, Didn’t know that my life was collapsing at the seams. But the cash felt good, yeah it erased all the fear, I was thirty on the inside at thirteen years. Fourteen sealing packs, (uh-huh) late night moves, Streetlights flicker while I’m paying my dues. Fifteen I was deep, in the kitchen with the glass, Cookin’ up poison as the minutes raced past.Flames too close, scars cooked in my skin, (burned in) Caught a high off the chaos but was dying within. Didn’t care about school, didn’t care about sleep, All I cared for was the rush and the company I’d keep.Women by the dozens, plenty faces each night, But when the sun came up, none of ‘em stayed in sight. I was numb in the bed, empty heart on display, Used bodies for the fill but it never stayed. It was all cold hustle, every smile was fake, Every laugh was survival, just a mask I’d make. Living fast meant I never thought about the end, Just a boy with a penance that he couldn’t comprehend.Hook (Anthem, Louder, With See, the streets made me harder, but they never made me whole, Taught me trust ain’t free and greed devours your soul. Friends flipped quick, some locked, some dead, And the echoes of the past still haunt my head.I stared in the mirror, saw a stranger grin, A boy’s reflection with a man’s dead sins. No childhood left, it was stolen for loot, Exchanged an early grave for some counterfeit youth. But the scars on my hands are the proof I survived, Through the smoke, through the fear, man, I’m still alive. Now my truth is my weapon, and my pain is my pen, If my words reach one kid, maybe he won’t fall in.Let the young ones listen: don’t repeat my past, That fast lane thrills but the crash comes fast. I can’t undo my story, but I’ll spit it out raw, A warning and a lesson written deep in the scars.Final Hook (Chanted, Stage Style) I grew up too fast! (TOO FAST!) Had no brakes, had no past! (NO PAST!) Paid my dues in blood and pain, Still I rise, I break these chains! (BREAK ‘EM! BREAK ‘EM!)Spoken Outro (Gritty, With Pause)"Yo, this ain’t no glory rap. I was a kid lost out there… thought the fast life was love. But all it did was rob me. So listen—don’t run down the path I ran. Ain’t nothin’ real there but pain, chains, and graves. Live smarter. Live longer."
