Bhavani Shankarau

"Bhavani Shankarau Vande Shraddha Vishwasarupinau | Yabhyam Vina Na Pashyanti Siddhah Swantasthmiswaram ||" I learned this shloka when I first heard the full Ram Katha by Pujya Shri Thakur Ji Maharaj. The above shloka is from the Hindu religious scripture the Ramcharitmanas. The second of the seven Sanskrit shloka written by the author Goswami Tulsidas. As complicated as my spiritual journey was. The core factor stayed with the Hindu religious scripture the Ramcharitmanas. The first Sanskrit shloka talks about bowing down to Goddess Saraswati and Lord Ganesha. “Varna” being the first word used meaning the caste system. Let me make it simple. First comes Shraddha who is absolute faith and then Shankarau who is complete trust. These two are Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. Without whom even a siddha(accomplished) can’t seek divinity either. My spiritual journey is way too complicated. Though as the Hindu religious scripture the Ramcharitmanas explains it. I first seeked the blessings of Goddess Parvati and then Lord Shiva. At last I seeked the blessings of Lord Ram on the night of Diwali through a marigold flower. Too much to say because I couldn’t be happier! The Hindu religious scripture the Ramcharitmanas teaches the above not only by the second of the seven Sanskrit shloka but also in the actual tale of the divine scripture.
