Allah Hoo

The Quran is considered a gift from Allah the God of Islam. God’s word given to the Prophet. Then out of many Hospital admissions came my last one. 3 years back at the University Hospital. In Edmonton. Psych Unit. My roommate a native changed rooms because I sprayed the cologne Axe. In reality I said something he minded. Another roommate heard voices of birds and animals. He came in under the influence of meow meow the drug. We used to have a good chat though in a week he left. My third roommate was basically homeless. Family did not want him I actually felt bad. I think his grandparents picked him up. My final and fourth week. On Friday morning. My psychiatrist suggested I should stay for another week. I agreed. Another white boy he put a Quran on the sink of the toilet. My voices asked me to confront him why he did that. Then came the day of my discharge. My parents came to pick me up. I asked the white dude what’s up with the Quran being in the toilet. He said it’s a gift for me and I went quiet. I consulted with my mom. She said that there was no use for me to take the Quran so I left it behind. That was not where my spiritual journey with Islam ended. I think what I did was right!
