Mustafa grew up in the tough streets of Northside Minneapolis, navigating the challenges of the Duece-6 and Glenwood area. Life taught him resilience early, but tragedy and struggle seemed to follow. Losing his grandfather while incarcerated left a void, yet also instilled in him values of strength and perseverance. Now living in the chaos of Kimball Court, Mustafa battles the harsh realities of roach infestations, violence, and systemic corruption. Despite the grim surroundings, he refuses to stay silent, standing as a voice against injustice. Through all this, he remains focused on his kids, his dreams, and his survival, using meditation, faith, and raw determination to rise above his circumstances. This life story of hardship and resilience, flavored with smoke and fire, sets the tone for "Cigar," a song about burning through adversity and never letting the flame die.
