Scary movies in the background of the mind, playing through the scenes one cut away at a time, the scariest thing was when I woke to realise it's a real life movie and the name on the director's chair is mine, playing out our tidal wave fates like an act-1 recital of playing a fake, I play a fake, I dismember and display the counterfeit, only letting half of the facts run out like blood and half of the lyrical wax seals unpeel like skin from limbs then drop back off, I never wanted to be the one in the driving seat of myself because the road to Hell was rising with heat and the wheels had already rolled to a stop Stop dead like a jack knife through the lane of hiphop, stopped dead like a heart that now carries another scar from that one unpredictable shock, the part if your life that you couldn't write, even if you had the pen and the hands of God, movies are only still scaring you because you know what you would do, and you grow to accept that the horrors are real and all around you You just thank your luck and charm that they haven't found you, you're happy alone in that barn on that stone where they bound you, they watch too many movies and purge just for kicks and your life is something to do, and nutcases aside, there might be a logic to the fear of the dark side, I once watched one film that gave me nightmares - and only because it didn't start right I would open the curtains and switch out the lights, hoping that I'd see something real on Elm Street that night, but only a chainsaw guy and a demon with a torchlight, one or two infected and dead-walking with limbs disjointed and unaligned... nothing unusual that time... movies are envisagable and reality creates an unknown paradigm, which is more scary to realise, the point to the whole plot or the end of the line? The end of the line... Ride out the plotline Cue the rewind... Clip back the reel of a lifetime The end of the line...
