I grew up in the hood, where the scars run deep Every day's a struggle, ain't no time to sleep Got my back against the wall, but I stand tall Even when I fall, I still give my all Hood scars on my skin, but I wear 'em with pride They remind me of the battles I was in and have been survived From the streets to the struggle, I can say that I've seen allot I refuse to let my past define my downfalls and what I stand on Raised in the struggle, but I'm still chasing dreams Hustling every day, grinding by any means I've been through the pain, felt the meaning of wat it is to have been taken in defeat I just rise up again, never accepting my demons to be taken on the lead Hood scars on my heart, but I wear 'em like the heart thats on my sleeve They remind me of the strength I never knew I had to go to see it From the bottom to the top, I'm gonna be on my way No matter what obstacles come, I'll never forget to keep on gainin I wear my hood scars like a crown on my head A reminder of the struggles that I've faced and bled But I'm still standing strong, never backing down In the face of adversity, I'll always hold my ground.
