Dakuwaqa

Fijians believe in a shark God called Dakuwaqa. He is prayed with the traditional drink kava. Once we went to a voodoo woman to get a sick person checked up. In our village. She took the 10 cigarettes out of the pack and lit everyone of them up and she started taking huge puffs. Kava was sitting in the front. One of my sister and I started laughing and we couldn’t stop. After we went to visit our grandparents in Sigatoka and a bull shark came smelled my feet. I didn’t move or anything. The bull shark came with the intention to attack but didn’t.
